Londinium School of English Ltd. Terms and Conditions – General

Students must be 18 years of age or older to study at the school.

You must include on you r application form information about any mental or physical illness, allergy, disability or condition that may affect your ability to complete the course , or that may affect any other student or m ember of staff .

Students must attend classes regularly and on time. Students will lose their course fees if they are frequently late, absent or leave before the end of the course.

All students are expected to maintain an average of 80% attendance. Failure to maintain a satisfactory level of attendance may result in students’ courses being curtailed.

In order to fulfil our obligation to you and the British authorities, it is necessary for us to see and copy your ID/passport and visas documentation (if appropriate). If you do not provide us with original documents on enrolment, we reserve the right to cancel your registration without a refund. We also require emergency contact details for you in London.  You therefore agree to provide these and keep them up to date if they change.

Sometimes Londinium School of English Ltd o r our representatives take photographs and videos during our courses that ma y b e used for promotional purposes. Please advise us at the time of booking if you do not wish to appear in any promotional material.

Course modality cannot be changed, for example, from a Callan Method course to General English Course.

All courses are subject to availability. We reserve the right to change or cancel course programmes in cases of low enrolments or unforeseen events outside our control including, but not limited to, natural disasters, labour disputes, government action, terrorism, pandemic and the like. Refunds will not be made in such circumstances.

Students are responsible for their own visa applications. We cannot provide the Certificate of Enrolment until full fees have been received.

Non-visa students, who have booked and paid for their course, are not entitled to a refund under any circumstances. However, at the principal’s discretion, your course may be deferred to a later date.

Students requesting changes to their course start date will be charged £50 for the issue of new course documentation.

Visa students: courses booked at a distance (online, by phone or email) may be cancelled within 14 days from the start of your initial booking. This fourteen-day period is known as the “cooling off period”. You must inform of your cancellation in writing as soon as possible by emailing [email protected] Cancellations by phone will not be accepted. If you book a course fourteen days or less before the start of your course the “cooling off period” will no longer apply. All refunds applications must be made fourteen days before the confirmed start date of you course.  Refund applications made fourteen days before or up to the date the course commences will receive a full refund and subject to £50 administration charge. Alternatively, if you wish to postpone the date of your course the £50 administration charge will not apply.

There is no reduction in fees where your period of study includes a public holiday.

Students on full – time  programmes may take holidays at any time during their course .

Holidays must be booked at least one week in advance. Holidays taken without our permission may result in the loss of lessons.

If you are unable to attend school because you are sick you will not be compensated for any classes missed.

All fees are payable in GBP (British Pound Sterling.  If you are making a payment in another currency you must ensure that the final payment received by us is the correct amount in GBP after all currency exchange and bank charges.

The course fees and deposit are valid only for the person, course(s) and dates specified on the application form.

Bookings for English language courses are accepted on payment of a non – refundable £100 deposit or 1st month’s course fee . These bookings are subject to a £40 registration fee.

Course fees (or deposits) must be made in full before the start of the course. Failure to pay the full amount will delay the start of you course.

Londinium School of English reserves the right to alter course fees.

Included in your registration fee for the Callan Method course: Level check, end of course certificate and online practice area. Course materials are not included in your registration or course fees.

Included in your registration fee for the General English course:  placement test and your end of course certificate. Course materials are not included in your course fees.
